About Witter Coin
In 1959 Dean Witter created an advanced coin album to hold US proof sets. With the achiever of the albums, Dean decided to open Witter Coin in a small store on Bush and Kearny in the Financial District. Dean former moved to the historic Hobart Building on Market Street in 1982 .
In 2016 Seth Chandler took over the commercial enterprise from Dean and expanded its offerings. For our fiftieth anniversary in 2020 we moved to our current location on Lombard Street in Marina. Today Seth and his team run our vastly larger showroom and attend events all over the world as a premier source for rare coins.

Meet the Team
Seth Chandler is the owner and Chief Numismatist of Witter Coins. He started collecting coins when he was four by placing Wheat Cents in blue Whitman mint folders given to him by his parents. Things started getting unplayful when Seth was ten. Money earned from mowing lawn was used to buy coins at his local coin memory, Edgewood Coin Shop. Seth spent thus much time at Edgewood; they offered him a job, working there from the historic period of 14 to 18.

Seth has been an avid mint collector for over 40 years and his gather interests include early United States gold coins and all neologism minted at the three San Francisco Mints. When not playing with coins, Seth spends time with his three new children and cover-girl wife, Jen.
Deep Patel, Chief Financial Officer ( CFO ), is responsible for all of the caller’s fiscal functions, including account, inventory management, audits, taxes, and overseeing all Human Resource duties. His career spans more than 9 years of varied experience in fiscal management, clientele leadership, and corporate strategy. Prior to joining Witter Coin in 2020, he served as a General Manager of a hotel for 5 years with experience in strategic planning, improvement of functional efficiency, team build, and project management within the cordial reception industry. deep Patel is a decorate Marine Corp Veteran where he served 4 years as an Aviation Operations Specialist.
Ira Kaplan, Shipping and Listing
Luis Ramos III, General Manager, Luis has been collecting coins since he was eleven after he was given a solicitation of circulating Mercury Dimes by his grandma. He has completed courses at the American Numismatic Association on Advanced Coin Grading for four years directly. Luis has successfully completed the Gemological Institute of America Diamond Grading Lab Class. Having been with Witter Coin since the fall of 2015, he had the opportunity to work with Mr. Witter in the historic Hobart Building. Luis is presently building a set of Classic Commemorative Half Dollars. aside from coin roll up, Luis enjoys car rush, collector cars, and photography. He graduated from Fresno Pacific University magna cum laude with degrees in Business Administration and Intentional Economics.
Jonathan Canfield, Numismatist, Growing up in the digital old age our newest numismatist trained wholly through online resources before joining our team at Witter Coin. He is an avid numismatist in numerous online forums and coin chat rooms. He presently helps moderate a coin Discord transmit of over 850 members who pool resources and cognition to help foster the hobby. His independent areas of collecting are Irish Coinage and Shillings from around the populace. Jonathan besides holds the # 1 register set at PCGS for Irish Shillings. James Andrews is a native San Franciscan. He studied Anthropology at the University of Oregon and then spent the first part of his professional life working in education.
